New Agency Materials

This addition offers audits and investigations for allegations of misconduct within the Commission. Search within OIG Investigative Reports, OIG Investigative Memoranda, and OIG Issued Reports by selecting them individually from our Dataset list; or search them all by selecting SEC from our Agency menu.

Knowledge Mosaic’s SEC Forms Guide

For years, we’ve helped our users disentangle the perplexity of SEC form types. But now the terrain is a little smoother, with the arrival of our very own SEC Forms Guide. Far from the comprehensive – but often tedious – EDGAR forms descriptions offered by the SEC, this guide defines and illuminates some of the most valuable and commonly used SEC forms. Crafted by the research team here at Knowledge Mosaic, it offers unique insight from those who work with these filings every day.

KWIC for Printable Reports

If you need to print a quick snapshot of the results you’ve returned, you know you can turn to Printable Reports, located on the right side of the tan navigation bar along the top of your results page. You probably also know that the name "Printable Reports" is something of a misnomer--for in addition to being printer-friendly, they can also be emailed, or even converted into a PDF and saved for later use.

What you may not know is that this feature now includes highlighting of your keywords-in-context for text searches. A valuable resource just got better.

Use every parameter available on the Filings page to narrow your exhibits search, or employ some of our new exhibit-specific features, like Exhibit Number text search, or a list of Investment Company exhibits.

Upgrades on SEC Watchlist form groups

We’ve made a subtle but significant improvement in our platform for setting up personalized SEC Watchlist Alerts. Now, those who create or edit a Watchlist using the form type or form group parameter will be directed to a brand new window. The innovation is that manually checking boxes for form groups now autofills the check boxes for their corresponding form types.

How does this benefit you? Three ways. First, the exact content of form groups are now immediately visible and thus transparent. Second, that content is now easily manipulated: our preselected form groups can now serve as customizable templates that you can edit by manually checking or unchecking boxes. Third, you may now combine multiple form groups in a single Watchlist.

New enhancements on Exempt Offerings page

We recently unveiled several significant upgrades to our Form D Exempt Offerings page, launched earlier this year.

First, we’ve enhanced this page’s functionality in the area of Pooled Investment Funds: now, you can select from a number of subcategories of this group, including Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, and Venture Capital Funds.

Second, you can now filter by Issuer Size those entities (such as Hedge Funds) that report by Aggregate Net Asset Value.

Finally, we’ve greatly improved the page’s reporting capability by adding an Excel Report link, allowing you to instantly upload your search results to an Excel spreadsheet.
