Newest Securities Mosaic Features          (July 10, 2008)

In a recent Press Box item, “KM Training: A Two-Way Street,” we mentioned the important role our users play in shaping the product we offer. We return to that topic here in greater detail, spotlighting a number of recent improvements to the Securities Mosaic platform. Many of these are the direct result of user feedback.

New and improved Document Cart

Our Document Cart, a new feature which debuted several months ago, has already undergone its first significant upgrade.  The Document Cart allows users to compile up to 25 documents in a single location, where they can be printed, batch-emailed, or saved for later use.  In response to comments from our customers, we have made this feature accessible from the SEC Filings Search Results page.  Now, a filing document need not be opened in order to be added to the Cart; and, one can add multiple documents to their Cart at once, by clicking the checkbox next to the item.

Ability to search on Financial and Accounting sections within a filing

For years, the All SEC Filings page has allowed you the option to limit your search to specific sections or exhibits within filings.  We have now expanded this function to include the Financial and Accounting sections of filings (Auditor’s Opinion, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Change in Accountant, Financial Statements, Income Statements, and Notes to Financial Statements).

Personal Account Signup page

Many users of Securities Mosaic assume they don’t need a personal account: they can already access the site through the IP authenticated account of their organization, bypassing a login prompt and allowing them to jump right into their work.  However, many of the most useful tools offered on Securities Mosaic—including the Document Cart, SEC Watchlist, and Stored Searches feature—are designed to be customized and saved by an individual user.  As such, they require a corresponding username (and password)—which is available at no extra charge for users who are part of an organization-wide account.   And getting a personal account is now easier than ever: just go to our new and improved Personal Account Administration page and submit the simple online form.

And coming soon . . .

We are continuing to implement suggestions from our valued customers.  Currently, we’re at work on various enhancements across the Securities Mosaic website, including important changes to the SEC Watchlist tool and the Exhibits Search page.  Keep your eyes open for those changes, and please keep those good ideas coming.
